What are my options?

For each digital board we offer different “slot sizes” to help meet budgets of all sizes. These slot sizes determine the cost and how often the campaign will display within a 24 hour period. For example a “Full Slot” on the jumbo digital at Newburg & Perryville Roads in Rockford will display 1,440 times daily. This is also about once every minute. A “Double Slot” (2,880 daily ads) will display twice a minute, a “Half Slot” displays every 2 minutes, and a “Quarter Slot” every 4 minutes. Please note most campaigns display on both sides of the board, so the time between ads will double if you are viewing from one side. You can refer to our marketing sheets to see the different slot options available for each board and the corresponding rates by cycle (4 week period). How often can I change my ad?

We welcome ad changes whenever you’d like within reason ;). Just send us the new artwork meeting the specs for the billboard and ask us to add it into rotation or to switch it out with the current piece(s). Ads can be scheduled as well, so feel free to send us the artwork in advance and we’ll get it set up to run on your desired dates.

How does the billing work?

All invoices will come through the BILL network via the 3 companies we work with:

Cherry Valley Sign Co (Rockford Jumbo digital billboard)

Visible Outdoor Ads (Rockford, McHenry, & Freeport digital billboards)

Victory Development (Lena, IL digital billboard)

The invoices will be sent via email around the start of each cycle throughout the campaign. We are always happy to send invoices in advance and lump invoices together into one upon request. Please let us know to whom the invoices should be emailed to if someone other than yourself. Payment can be made via mailed check or bank withdrawal. Visible Outdoor clients can make payments by credit card, however, the card payments incur a small processing fee.

Can you create ads for my campaign?

Whiplash Adz does not do any artwork creation, however, we can refer you to a graphic artist we partner with if you would like. Our artist’s work is included in the cost of some of the boards, for other boards the ads can be paid for separately. Please note any work created for use on one of the billboards is not to be used elsewhere, unless prior permission and fees have been agreed upon with the artist. All artwork will be approved by Whiplash Adz before it goes live.

Who do i contact at whiplash adz if i need something or have a question?

The best practice is to email and copy both Becky & Suzy on all correspondence. This way we are both in the loop, nothing gets missed, and we can respond to your request faster.

How do i get started?

Let us know what board(s) you are looking to advertise on, your desired slot size, and the dates you would like to run your campaign. We generally work in cycles of 4 weeks, but can accommodate slightly longer or shorter durations upon request. We will check to see if your requested dates are available and send a contract over for you to review and sign. Once we have a signed contract and artwork the campaign is ready to go live!
